Clinical pilates

Pilates is becoming more and more popular as a form of rehabilitation with core strengthening being found as the only scientific way of reducing and preventing lower back pain.

APPI Pilates excels in encouraging the use of your core stabilising muscles to promote correct movement patterns. Pilates is becoming the forefront of rehabilitation for chronic conditions, such as osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and chronic lower back pain. As well as helping athletes improve their technique and beat their PBs.

With these classes your mind and body will be challenged, your mind will become accustomed to improving posture whilst your body will be recruiting your deeper stabilising muscles. Muscle imbalances can be corrected by retraining muscle patterns through encouraging muscle recruitment and therefore improving body alignment.

Classes have no more than 12 people at a time with all equipment being provided. APPI Pilates is very clinical, due to the small numbers in the groups it allows time for tactile feedback and time with each participant to ensure that the exercises are being done correctly. Groups are very relaxed and incredibly welcoming. I currently hold classes at Clifton Village Village Hall Please contact me if you wish further information about APPI Pilates classes.
